Antique and Vintage Snowmobiles
The first snowmobiles were dog-powered. In the modern era Model T's were converted into to snow travelers utilizing different technologies. Things progressed and in 1931 a fellow named Eliason from Wisconsin developed the first belt driven version of a snowmobile. In general the more current day styles were developed in 1961 when Ski Doo introduced the front engine models. To see a more in depth story about the development of snowmobiles click here.
Whole Sled Inventory
Below you will see just the beginning of my inventory of vintage and antique sleds and snowmobiles. In addition to those listed I have numerous other "parts sleds", and other misc vintage and antique snowmobile parts. It's all for sale, and if you are looking for something specific contact me. These can be freighted, but pickup might be a better option.

Arctic Cat Panther Snowmobile
This snowmobile is complete and restorable. The
motor turns over and there is compression.

1964
Polaris Snowtraveler Snowmobile
This is an early and rare collectible sled, the Iron
Sled. There were probably only about 300 or so of these made.
It has a 7 HP motor. It's in pretty nice condition and has been
restored a couple years ago and has been under cover. Only thing
it's lacking is the windshield frame and plexiglass.
Note: I have another one of these, the K-70 with the transmission.

Arctic Cat Panther Yellow Snowmobile
This snowmobile is runnable but needs some work.
The motor runs but the steering needs some help. A classic!

Yamaha Snowmobile
I have three of these---one for parts and two runners. They are
all 440's. The best is priced below. The others are less.

This is a liquid cooled "LC" 500 cc with a bad motor.
Built in Minnesota!

This is restorable, or a good parts machine.

Evinrude E25 Snowmobile
This sled is complete but not a runner---rebuildable.
It's a 25 horse 31 inch wide track. It has reverse and a warm up
conditioner to disengage the clutch. I,ve got one that is a runner
also if you are interested.

1969 Homelite Forester Snowmobile
This sled is complete, restorable, and pretty good except
for the seat. Other than that it is very, very restorable.
